Baaaa cNEW Stuff

While playing HIDE AND SHEEP this booklet was discovered. Just who are these Ovines? And why do they look so different? We may need to ask our HC? Does anyone know of this flock?

Baaa'News~~~3 Ovine Plan on the knitted Eggplant~~~Himhe and Callopie STILL planning on live chat~~~A bit more worried as no news from Noah {or Noel}~~~Bobble H. Ovine has a project and is working at the other house ~~~KOO starting after school project for 2012 Krewe of Ovine float~~~BFSS aka Dee Vine still an issue!

First-Get a Map
posted by Noah
There are several in the flock capable of telling this next portion about the KOO, but I volunteered. Because the Ovine who posts gets to pick what colors to post in. And although not considered one of the more eye catching colors, Grey is the best. I believe it is the color of calm, of reason, of insight, of intelligence.....and the color of my fleece. Yep, Grey. Oh yea, a map.
After we began to learn more about the KOO it became clear there seemed to be a lack of understanding about many issues. EDUCATION certainly seemed a perfect beginning. They explained they preferred to be known as the KOO. Which they explained was KREWE OF OVINE. Now remember, the mysterious incidents began around the time part of our flock was at the beach. First we noted the stowaways, fewer than 4 at that point. Then they vanished, we thought. But again and again they began to appear. In the photo of us departing for our home pasture. What seemed to be hind ends while traveling in the car. All the while the colors purple/green/gold invaded us, everywhere. Finally we captured them, interrogated them, and slowly began to learn what was going on.
Once they told us they were a KREWE we looked it up. Much research revealed a Krewe seemed to be a word for a group who formed to pursue some sort of 'social' activity. But that was all we could find in a dictionary. So we went to the computer. WOW! We typed in the word KREWE and all was revealed. AND EVERYTHING THAT POPPED UP SEEMED TO BE IN PURPLE/GREEN/GOLD. The flock was in total agreement we had hit pasture dirt. Our version of the HC pay dirt, you see.
We quickly concluded that these 4 Ovines were a social organization, which seemed odd to us, as a flock seemed to cover that purpose quite well. So we put our research to the KOO.
Yes, they admitted they were just as we had found, a social organization. And then explained they had no idea where they were from but one by one had found each other. Marty Grau, the only of the 4 with an actual name, said he was first and all alone. But with some wandering about he had discovered a picture frame and SOMEHOW he just knew something about what was in the picture frame must hold a clue as to who he was and where he started.
On the frame was a very colorful and strange creature which seemed to be a HC. Looking down at his fleece he noticed some of the colors on the picture matched his fleece. Soon after he discovered a mirror and with a shock he realized his face, ears and even his tail colors supported his theory.
He told us while the flock was off doing 'stuff' he worked at the computer and through trial and error found the same sites we had. The colors matched his. And they talked about parades.......he just knew this MUST be his mission. To be a parade? But how was he to accomplish this. Could one Ovine be a parade? He sadly went back to hiding from the flock. Then much to his surprise he discovered another Ovine, much like him but different. Again the colors. Then another and finally a 4th. They decided they must belong together due to their brilliantly colored fleece.
None of the other 3 seemed to know their names, and really Marty didn't know his name for certain, either. But from his search on the computer he thought he might be Marty Grau. He thought that was his name although it was spelled slightly different from the computer. He told us on the computer it was spelled M~A~R~D~I~~~G~R~A~S. But something told him his name was spelled different even though they seemed to sound the same. So he must be the somehow related to this Mardi Gras. Bit by bit, the other 3 Ovines decided their mission must be to join him. And finally to join their relative ~~Mardi Gras~~ where ever it lived. Back to the picture frame where they decided a New Orleans must be the place, but how to get there?
Ah, this was the reason they stowed away in December. They didn't know where they were or where we were going but MAYBE it was this New Orleans. And if they called themselves a Krewe and found this New Orleans, perhaps they would be a parade? {All of us in the flock could see their line of thought didn't go in a straight direction, but UNDERSTANDING AND PATIENCE~not 1 Baa-HaaHaa}
And back now to that word EDUCATION. They had no idea where they must go, how to get there or what direction to take. Geography! Several of us realized, after having done our own research that Mardi Gras would seem to be over for this year. And New Orleans was no where close to York Pennsylvania or Garden City South Carolina, although the beach was certainly closer than the pasture. And much preparation would be necessary to be a Krewe in a parade at this Mardi Gras.
Although the KOO was very sad when we explained it all we quickly turned to Understanding and Patience. We told the 4 we would help them learn all they might need and help them if they decided they still wished to continue on their mission. And in the meantime we asked if they would like to join the flock. We told them about the number 1 rule~OPEN AND ACCEPTING. After they held a KOO meeting they returned and said they would very much like to join our flock, at least for now.
So we began learning about geography, if New Orleans was their goal.....geography was critical.

AND YOU THOUGHT WE'D GIVEN UP?
posted as **la** Flock {that's french!}
No, we haven't managed to pry the laptop from our HCs hands since that long ago day. The day we'd captured the FWIF. The day we created our last banner photo, yep-still there, showing the encircled 4 MDIs. Well, so much~much~much to tell. We will soon begin with the whole purple, green, gold thing and the FWIF. Then we will discuss geography. Then of todays outing. {Others in the flock also have things to say!!} But first, the FWIW. And the lessons we learned as we began to wrest the story from these 4 MDIs.
1. Education is very important
2. Patience is very important
3. Understanding is very important
Hm, yea that covers most of it.
But we are prepared whenever faced with new challenges, which often arrive as fellow creatures~ yes even Ovines. Whether that contact be with the flock in total or even one of us. Why are we prepared? Because our head of flock~~ELLIS THE RAM's guiding rule-OPEN AND ACCEPTING.
So tonight as our HC again, accompanied by her ear frying 'sailor speak', continues to hang pictures back on walls and wrest furniture to YET another place~POST WE WILL.
Oh Oh Oh, plus others have events to report upon...........plus of course our upcoming adventure to MALICE DOMESTIC {which M. Grau continues to say with a pitiful french accent}. M. Grau you ask? Tonight we will start by helping him to post on Meet the Ovines while others write of the events immediately after the capture, specifically-DURING THE INTERROGATION!

Flock on the Trail Update #4- Serious Events
posted by Piper OOC

Finally my window of opportunity to relate our first real evidence of this 'flock with in the flock', photographic evidence. As seen above, we have identified the key items with captions for future reference.

The events were as follows. Knowing that Ovi is extremely fond of his bowl~bed and therefore when sleeping at night can always be located tucked warmly inside, we believe the Flock With In the Flock targeted Ovi. {From this point on the Flock With In the Flock will be known by~~~~FWIF.} They waited til the flock was tucked in for the night and took our Ovi/bowl~bed, left our pasture and placed him outdoors IN A SNOW BANK. Obviously this event had occurred soon after our return from the beach, when the snow was deep and temperatures were frigid.

FWIF placed strings of gaudy plastic balls on strings-2 in Gold and 1 in Green- over our darling Ovi and as can be seen in this photo then creeped away. No doubt back into the warmth of the pasture where they apparently went back into hiding as they weren't visible during the rest of the event.

We still have no idea how the green string, which was clearly in the opening photo, failed to appear in this photo above. But as can be seen in the following photo when we rescued Ovi/bowl~bed from the cold all 3 strings were accounted for.

Sullivan had awakened a bit later in the night and realizing Ovi/bowl~bed were MIA, sounded the alarm. {normally Nocturnal Ovine Wandering~NOW wouldn't be a concern-but with events recently we kept alert-this was not NOW} Well it was now but not an act of NOW. Get it~Got it~GOOD ! Sooooooooooo.......Calling for an All Ovine Alert~AOA we commenced our search. Callopie quickly noted bits of snow by the door and we knew none of us had been outside and the HC was reading in her bed upstairs. We managed to get the door opened and there he was, if Sullivan had not woke up, Ovi might have awakened covered in snow, confused, semi frozen and unable to bleat for assistance. Out we rushed into the cold dark night and dragging the bowl~bed we got Ovi and it, through the door. Ovi still had not baaa'd and we were in fear he was frozen-how would we UN THAW our Ovi. Fortunately once out of the cold and on the threshold the warm began to revive him.

We then flock-handled him over to the top of an old blanket chest and soon helped him to clear the snow which had blanketed him. As can be seen below, quite a bit of snow had fallen while he had been sleeping outside, PLUS snow had begun to fill his bowl~bed.

Now this was becoming dangerous and UNHEALTHY. Ovi was stoic which amazed the flock. Ovi stated that the plastic balls on string must have been left by whoever had ferried him to the outdoors. And after seeing the photo we all immediately saw that the 2 Miscreants of Dubious Intentions~MDIs fleeing the scene were of the same coloring as the hind ends in his bowl~bed as we traveled the hall toward the car for our journey back to Pennsylvania. Our suspicions were now FACTS. We have identified the culprits, we have possession of the plastic balls on string.

It was then, knowing that our HC was going to an appointment with our MTF the next day, Ovi announced he would be accompanying our HC. Why? we asked. Ovi explained that as our MTF and qualified in things of an internal nature in HCs, internal nature of hidden thoughts and such, surely he might provide some insight regarding the motives of this FWIF.

The following day Ovi/bowl~bed and our HC went to the appointment. Ovi told us of the visit upon their return. Ovi's report~~~~MTF Ellis explained he normally had to 'visit with' to gain insight, so without the FWIF his guess would be simply that, guessing what lies behind events. But after studying the green plastic balls on a string he said he recognized this type of string. He had been part of a group which went to the City of New Orleans following the destruction of a Katrina. {We later learned Katrina is a serious weather event, which we hope never to experience in our pasture.} And the string looked like something thrown off traveling platforms in this New Orleans. When Ovi told MTR Ellis there had also been Gold strings Ellis said OF COURSE Then a question Ovi said he never expected......MTR Ellis said "Were there any purple strings"!!!!!

It won't be long now before Purple, Green and Gold are understood!!

Or we capture the MDI!!

Heading North

OUR TRIP HOME
~~posted by Ovi~~
Ellis and Esme have designated me to post of our journey home. I hope you enjoy my first ever all to myself~by myself for you to read~~posting. Yes, Tuesday morning found us leaving our Oceanside Pasture for our trip North. Anxious to rejoin the flock we left behind we gathered together and walked down the hallway toward the door through the parking lot to climb into the car. The only one who had any baggage was me. I walked next to Sullivan at the end of our flock. The red string which you may notice around my neck and down my back on both sides was attached to my bowl~bed. For some STRANGE reason it seemed far heavier than ever before. But I persevered and the 6 of us, oh plus our HC, settled into the car and away we went. We got to ride 'shotgun' atop a lovely fleece blanket, naturally once we put our seat belt around us we were ready to enjoy our first leg of the journey.
Sullivan, ME, Callopie, Himhe, Ellis and Esme

We left as the sky brightened stopping for fuel. A bit of a pile on but lots of fun. After an hour or so of driving went crossed our first state line, North Carolina. While our HC went to a building, we piled atop the sign showing where we were and when she returned she snapped our picture. Back to the car we went for our next part of our trip. Very soon we found ourselves in another state, Virginia! Ellis told us it was about halfway and this was very exciting. This time Callopie yelled PILE ON. After Ellis and Esme talked it over we did just that~PILED ON. And I the OVI~NATOR got to be on top. Well Callopie was next to me but as I'm taller I claimed KING OF THE HILL!!!!!

PILE ON!!!

After such a morning and many exits and entrys of rest areas, we all were very tired and slept the rest of the way home. Except of course, our HC, who drove safely and didn't stop to eat. As we had planned ahead and had a big big big morning meal we didn't get hungry. Later as the sun set and hearing some baa'ing from the others I woke up and we were home. We all piled out and followed our HC to the door, back home at last.

&&&&&&

Only one thing seemed strange. After all things were put away and we greeted the home flock, shared our adventures and we all clustered together and had a good night sleep. The STRANGE thing? The next day while our HC was busy we got to use the laptop, to look over our blog and enjoy our trip home photos. And when the photo of us coming down the hallway to the door appeared something was weird with my bowl~bed. Remember at the beginning of my post when I said my bowl~bed seemed heavier than before? We all gasped as we saw 'something' IN the BOWL~BED. Some things that appeared to be shades of purple, green and gold.......and although we enlarged the photo we wouldn't quite make out what it was. Finally Sullivan declared there appeared to be FOUR things in the bowl~bed and he thought they looked strangely like the back part of Ovines~hind ends.......Where were the stowaways? We thought they had been left behind with Willy...........but TWO hind ends looked like TWO of the stowaways but that left TWO. Those TWO seemed to be in shades of Green and Gold. The stowaways had been black with purple among the black fleece and white with gold among the white fleece. We rushed back to my bowl~bed but it was empty. Where are the contents of my bowl~bed we are all asking ourselves. If it is the TWO stowaways and somehow they have brought back TWO others.......well we will find them, they are somewhere in our pasture and we have a very very very large flock~~~They can't hide forever. Oh, in case you have trouble seeing the hind ends we placed 3 question marks by the 4 hind ends.

By permission of Ellis the Ram, my post is concluded.

Research

On the Hunt for the answer
First Stop~~~ GREEN BAY PACKER?
Himhe, Ellis, Esme, Sullivan Callopie and Ovi
sitting left to right
Getting at the computer to do the research we previously spoke of, proved more time consuming then we all expected. But finally we crowded around the laptop which had been placed in the comfy chair. The first search we tried was GREEN BAY PACKER. And much to our amazement the screen filled with the explanation....

The Green Bay Packers are an American football team based in Green Bay, Wisconsin. They are members of the North Division of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL) and are the third-oldest franchise in the NFL. Ah, the clue provided by GFK about a 'game' proved to be valid. Seems this Green Bay Packer is a group of human who engage in a game called Foot~Ball. Further reading down the page informed us that while playing the game of Foot~Ball these Green Bay Packers don garments which are Green and Gold.

Now, Ovines aren't really interested in 'games'. It seems most humans do nothing BUT play games........And most of these games seem to involve round objects and sticks. Hoc~Key=little black round object flat on top and bottom and a STICK. GFK works for something called the Milwaukee Brewers. The average Ovine would believe this 'Milwaukee Brewers' are engaged in 'brewing'. Remember, Humans=Games. This Milwaukee Brewers, they play Base~Ball. Base~Ball=a round object about 4" in diameter {and very painful if struck by such an object as it is hard like a rock............wouldn't using a rock be just as easy and certainly cheaper-rocks all over the pasture?}and a STICK. So we assumed this game called Foot~Ball would have a ball and STICK. So we next searched for Foot~Ball.

A form of team game played in North America with an oval ball on a field marked out as a gridiron

Ah, finally a game with only a ball. And this ball appears to be oblong and filled with air which certainly must feel better if one is hit with it. But after this research, we all agreed that this does not answer the question of Purple, Green, and Gold. We must tell our HC to inform our GFK that the answer to her question is NO. The colors don't appear to mean a Green Bay Packer, a game, or some human named Favre who it seems likes Purple.

Tomorrow the flock travels with our HC back north to our pasture in Pennsylvania. We will miss the Ocean, the Seagulls, the Sunrises and the Sunsets. But our HC need us to accompany her to keep her attentive during her long hours of travel. Occasionally Baaa'ing and Bleat'ing to ensure she does not fall asleep. But Willy, the elder statesmen of our flock, will remain behind to keep our HC's MPU company until we return. Which will be soon, we hope.............meanwhile we remain vexed, JUST WHAT IS THIS PURPLE, GREEN, GOLD THING !!!

THE CONFUSED, THE FRUSTRATED, THE VEXED...THE BEACH FLOCK

A Question makes us wonder?

OUR SEARCH BEGINS~~~~~ posted by Ellis the Ram and beach Ovines
Our HC swapped emails with our GFK this morning and apparently she has been reading our blog. The gold/green/purple issue prompted a question as to what the colors are all about. Well, as it is our blog being kidnapped by this 'flock with in a flock' we would like to know the answer as well. And we all are on the lookout and WILL discover the answers as we work feverishly to discover the meaning of it all.
So our GFK asked our HC if the colors were heralding some upcoming event involving something called a 'GREEN BAY PACKER'? We all gathered to discuss this strange term, 'GREEN BAY PACKER'. First we asked the oldest in our flock, Willy, if he had heard this term. And he had not but he did point out that in his experience a Bay was a geographical term for a body of water. And although the world was filled with various such bodies the only Bays that knew of were in shades of blue. Like dark blue/grey during stormy weather or sparkling water which shone blue under cloudless skies. Or maybe even brown blue from trees which sit along the edge and provide tree colors. But he did not know of a Green Bay.
Well then what about a PACKER? After mulling over the question Willy provided a few possibilities. Didn't wolves, our sworn enemy as they are known to tear away young ovines from their flocks in order to devour them, travel in Packs? DFH !!!!!!! Maybe a Packer was a really really really big pack of wolves. Or maybe a Packer was several wolf packs, who banded together to create even more DFH. Or maybe a Packer described what this Green Bay did? Would a Green Bay wish to Pack itself and if so into what and toward what purpose?
As you see, plenty of questions but no answers. Then we realized our GFK in her inquiry had provided some clues. She said this Green Bay Packer is having a 'game' on Saturday night. Well, having dealt with CBFEJD and her interest in what she termed a 'game' called Hoc-key perhaps this GREEN BAY PACKER played the game of Hoc-key. We learned last year during the HC festival of Olympics, about many 'games'. So we decided this gave us a direction which may assist us to discover just what this GREEN BAY PACKER was.
The flock reviewed GFK's message one last time. This GREEN BAY PACKER may not be answer to the colors as GFK indicated that the Green and Gold only related to this GREEN BAY PACKER but Purple was connected to a creature called FAVRE. { But as to why this FAVRE is connected to Purple is a mystery}. Tomorrow while we are alone in room 207 research will be our priority. My first task will be to look in the dictionary. I will start by looking up GREEN BAY PACKER................

On the hunt,

Ellis, Esme, Sullivan, Callopie, Ovi, Himhe and Willy
