Deep Baaa!
posted by ELLIS THE RAM

That is what Esme and I have had to do the last few days. So many clovers in the pasture, we finally realized the pasture was in chaos. Not that everyone wasn't busy~ doing campaign work, helping a friend, Marti Gras and the remaining KOO hard at their studies. Piper has been working very hard to keep conversing with the flock but we can tell he is still sad. Meanwhile his friend Herzig has convinced our HC to make a new knitted Eggplant. Trouble is she hasn't begun it yet and I fear Herzig is growing short tempered. Bobble H. Ovine seems to have a very special project he wants to start for his friend Daniel, who is summering with his brothers in California, The Mache Triplets seem finally to have become proper loving brothers. But word is, there
is much upheaval in the Dennison Pasture due to a potential pasture relocation. And HC was informed that the pasture must be fumigated {I had to look it up and seems it involves getting rid of bugs or probably keeping the bugs away}. Plus the Dennison Pasture became a spot for many wooden living items which has made it quite 'dense' and difficult to roam.  We are wondering if that is why no word on the campaign Noah announced in April. Mr Sparkles and Noah were to go to California to plan the campaign and hopefully gather endorsements. Esme is a bit worried about Noah. She has begun to speculate that may have gotten seduced by the 'celebrities' as the Dennison Pasture is near Hollywood. Callopie and Himhe have been unable to get any answers with their research of their software issues so they have asked to use the computer to live chat with technicians who are reported to be very experienced and knowledgeable. We are scheduling that with our HC. No one has written requesting to Adopt an Ovine as of yet so Grace, who is such a sweet little lamb, is living in our Pasture.

Then BFSS, oh yes she prefers to be called Dee Vine, hijacked the blog and engaged in Blatant Self Baaa'ing. Of all the issues that is the one completely unresolved. And despite my Open and Accepting rule even I am finding it difficult to be patient with her. I am all for publicly knocking her down a fence railing or two but Esme keeps stopping me. She says she is thinking very hard of what we can do to correct her 120% self absorbed behavior. I don't think even Ellis our MTF could keep a professional demeanor if he gave her a session or five to help her. That worries all of us. But we will find the way, {I think a rope tied at the far end of the pasture with BFSS attached to it would be a splendid beginning....but}.

So with all that going on I've informed the entire flock that I will do all the posting until progress appears on all those issues. Plus, our HC has seemed very quiet lately and maybe a bit sad. I overheard her MPU tell her they are taking a 4 day Adventure to New Jersey on the 22nd. Plus she has a MTF appointment and also a trip to the Veterans Hospital to have a place on her skin checked. I told her if she would just grow fleece, those spots wouldn't appear since the sunlight couldn't penetrate it. We are always free of spot on our hides, she doesn't seem to want to grow fleece which baaaaffles me. Anyway I have told the flock that since we adopted her it is our responsibility to get her out of the 'quiet'. Wish us luck.

With Hope,

OVERWHELMED WITH CHOICES

posted by Ellis The Ram

As each day passes since our return from the beach, the flock has been bombarded with several issues, some of which have been written or alluded to in previous posts....from previous posters. {The author sort of poster not the paper ones of various sizes on endless subjects} Ah yes, the issues.

1. We are still debating the selection of who in the flock will get to travel to Malice Domestic which is the end of this month. Esme and I are 'old hooves' at this wonderful weekend so the fact we are actually going to take a few of the flock has created quite a bleating throughout the pasture. Which has now resulted in a missing ovine. Yes, Callopie seems to have disappeared. No we don't believe she has been lamb~napped. She had, in her usual non stop way, begun asking to go to Malice. After several times telling her we would consider it but she have to wait with the flock and would know when the others did....well she had a baaa'd tantrum. The next morning Sullivan, who is normally quite calm, woke us quite frantic. When he woke his little sister Callopie wasn't with him, they sleep side by side. Sullivan apparently searched throughout the pasture with no luck. With good fortune we will soon post of finding Callopie and the reason for her disappearance, but I suspect she is safe and simply hiding.

2. Yes, Piper seems to again be afflicted by his VDD {Vegetable Detachment Disorder}. After our session with Ellis, after which our MTF had a session with Piper, things seemed to be returning to normal. But just yesterday we woke up to find him sitting in his usual spot in the pasture in his EGGPLANT outfit. When Herzig tried to speak to him, she said he made strange noises. And wouldn't respond as normal. Apparently Herzig hadn't been aware of this, a symptom noticed during Piper's last VDD problem. Others in the flock since have told Herzig that Piper was speaking in EGGPLANT. {A language our Piper seems to have developed himself-that is our guess as we have never heard an Eggplant actually speak. Come to think of it none of us has ever heard a carrot speak, or a cabbage speak, broccoli? No, radish? No.... Come to think of it, I can't think of a vegetable we have ever heard utter a sound. Except a sizzle from the pan-Piper would be very upset if he read this so I'll leave it at that, sizzle!} So a post or several will be coming dealing with this issue.

The First Dairy Queen Blizzard
3. The KOO have been progressing quite nicely in their world of firsts. And GFBFHD, newly returned from her POO {Point of Origin-Devon, England}, has conveyed that Mr Sparkles~of the Dennison Flock in California seems to be thrilled at learning of the KOO. Which means we may be selecting them as part of the Adventure to Malice Domestic for Mr Sparkles pleasure. We may speak to Noah and Ovi about more intensive EDUCATION to prepare them for interacting with numerous HCs as well as Ovines from several flocks.
Well, those are just 3 of the issues Esme and I are juggling at the moment. Being the head of flock is most certainly a FULL TIME job. Esme and I hope to assign the reporting on these and other situations to others in the Pasture very soon, in order to keep all informed of life in our Pasture.
Stressed but undaunted,

Callopie "Explorer Extraordinaire"

MY VERY OWN ADVENTURE
posted by Callopie "Explorer Extraordinaire"

********

Around the Corner, Across the Patio, Through the Gate

Yes, I got in trouble and Yes, I was punished. But it really was worth it. I went on my own adventure, ALL by myself. I saw wondrous sights, met other creatures and found my very own PLUS. At first it was quite scary. When Susan, our HC, left the condo on some errand I managed to sneak out the door and then staying right next to the wall I inched my way~all the way down the stairs. Finally, downstairs on what is called the 'pool deck', I peeked around the corner. Just in case something dangerous lurked there. {Also to check for our HC, she is tricky}. Then across the patio I raced. Still undetected I crawled onto the gate and wiggled through.

********

I slid down the rail, I walked over the sand, I see the Ocean Tide

********

Although the wood had splinters I carefully slide down the railing and onto the sand. I'd never been on 'sand' and it was strange. Parts of it were dry while others were damp and all over were so many exciting things. Bits of rock and shells, feathers, dips in sand and then piles of sand. What fun! Finally I found my way to where the sand was very wet~~the OCEAN. And it was beautiful, HUGE, and busy. The Flock thinks I never sit still? I guess they never met the OCEAN. It comes and goes.....well first it goes and goes and goes and then it comes and comes and comes. I think that part is what HCs call THE TIDES. The strange thing is that the whole times it goes and goes and goes it still comes and when it comes and comes and comes it still goes. I guess the OCEAN doesn't need rest or sleep.

******** So I walk far, I meet a grey Cat's Paw, I climb big rocks
******** WOW....the sand goes on and on and on. I wonder if it ever ends but I decide to walk as far as I am able certain there will be more new adventures. Soon I meet a very old and pale Cat's Paw and we had a friendly chat. Out in the Dennison Flock they live with a 4LFC, Mr Tig. Last year when Ellis was here he sent Mr Tig a box full of Cat's Paws. Ellis told him he could use them to show his flock where they could not be, Cat's Paws could make a border for Mr Tig's Pasture....or whatever a 4LFC calls where they live. After meeting the Cat's Paw, I found a wonderful mountain of beach rocks and I climbed them. The red ones were my favorites.
********
I discover Sea Grass, I Play Hide and Seek, I meet a PLUS
******** Around the rocks was MLGV, like in my Pasture. Well, not exactly the same but a lot like it. I prefer Pasture MLGV. Although some of the Sea MLGV was green, most of it was brown and dry. Hm, guess when it gets cold even in my Pasture the green turns brown also. Although I did not find the Sea MLGV very tasty, I did find it made a great place to play Hide and Seek.....but as I am alone on the adventure Hide and Seek isn't much fun. I can Hide but no one to Seek me or I could Seek but no one to Hide. Maybe next time others can sneak out with me. So I went back to the sand and was so very very happy to find my very first PLUS. And we had a very nice chat also. I told him about all the other PLUSES and he agreed to come home with me, 'when' I end my adventure later. So now 2 of us are on my adventure.
******** Then disaster strikes, And although I hide?, The PLUS and I are BUSTED!
********
Just when I have a companion to explore with me, it happens. The PLUS has stopped to rest while I go ahead. He calls and when I turn AARRGGHH !!! MY HC !!!!! What a disaster. My absence obviously had been discovered and now I had been found. I did try to hide and found a rock but it was far to small and although I tried to hide I was much larger than the rock. The PLUS and I were BUSTED. And from the look on the shoes I was in serious trouble.
********
We are ordered home, This time an open gate, The PLUS and I cross patio
********
My adventure has ended. We are ordered back to the beginning, the boring Condo. No crawling up the rail nor slipping between the rails of the gate. No sprinting across the patio keeping eyes out for potential problems. Our HC takes the elevator and tells me that I can return the way I came, along the wall. {This seemed hopeful as once she leaves we may sneak off to more adventures but....}. HC warns before the elevator door closes, that if we are not knocking at the condo door within 10 minutes we will be hunted down again. And punishment WILL be compounded. So 5 minutes later we reached the door.
The Punishment-no playtime with the rest of the flock, no story time before bed, no extra MLGV the rest of the day. {PIFFLE-My adventure was worth all that times 10 and more}. Sullivan reminds me that some may be confused as to "What are PLUSES?" I'll mull over how to explain them to you, later, when my punishment is ended.
